Halo 4: Crashed You Away


Last year's Halo: Reach might have been the swan song for original franchise creator Bungie, but the famous first-person shooter series has plenty of life left in it.

At their E3 2011 press conference in Los Angeles, Microsoft pulled the wraps off two new Halo endeavors. A short teaser trailer marked the debut of Halo 4. Featuring the return of series staple Master Chief, the new game is due out in holiday 2012:


This year, however, will see the release of Halo Combat Evolved: Anniversary, an HD remake of the original 2001 Xbox game that kicked off the series. It's due to release November 15th.

E3:Latest Video Game Expo


E3,Electronic Entertainment Expo 2011 is here. The annual video game expo kicked off Monday morning after tons of pre-show hype and Wii 2 gossip. There will be constant news pouring out of the Los Angeles Convention Center this week, but perhaps the most anticipated events will be each company's press conference.


These keynotes will announce new games, dive deep into much-anticipated titles, and outline a road map for the coming year.

So when are the press conferences? Here are the big five:

Monday, June 6

Microsoft – 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pacific time – Expect news on Gears of War 3, new Kinect titles, and maybe Halo 4. Live stream.

EA – 13:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Pacific – Look for news on Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3, and other huge sequels. Live stream.

Ubisoft – 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pacific time – Get ready for Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Live stream.

Sony – 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Pacific – Cross your fingers for Uncharted 3, NGP (or is it PlayStation Vita now?), and maybe Last Guardian? Live stream.




Tuesday, June 7

Nintendo – 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Pacific time – Anticipate updates on Wii 2 and loads of new 3DS games. Live stream.
